About Slip Loomer

From scattered materials to complete work.

The name Slip Loomer reflects how we think projects are created: whether using code, prompts, or AI tools, the essential work is weaving disparate capabilities into something people can truly use.

Weavers of projects, products, and workflows

The origin of the name

A loom is a weaving machine; a loomer is the person who weaves.

In English, a loom is a weaving machine. Loomer is a word we coined to mean “one who weaves”: someone who does more than possess a single material, and understands how to choose, organize, and connect materials into a complete work.

A slip is a small piece of material that can be picked up and used. Slip Loomer describes this work: starting with many seemingly separate pieces and continually weaving them until they form a meaningful whole.

Our perspective

Tools change; weaving endures.

The era of code snippets: assembling scattered capabilities into projects

In earlier approaches to development, people continually searched for, understood, and combined code snippets to turn isolated features into complete projects that could run, be maintained, and be delivered.

The era of large language models: prompts are new materials for weaving

Today, prompts, models, tools, and workflows let us create capabilities more quickly. But reliable results still require orchestrating goals, context, constraints, and every step of execution.

A project's value lies in the whole created by its connections

Code, prompts, and tools are only materials. What matters is connecting them into clear, verifiable products and workflows that solve real problems.

Slip Loomer

Weave every piece of capability into a project that people can truly use.

This is also how we develop AI Agents, algorithms, and products: start from a clear problem, choose the right materials, and connect them into a result that can land in the field and keep improving.
